About me...

Nir Oren

I'm currently based within the Department of Computer Science at King's College London . Officially, I'm a research associate on the CONTRACT project, working with Professor Michael Luck and Dr Simon Miles.

Before that, I was based at the Department of Computing Science at the University of Aberdeen where I worked on the ITA and CONOISE-G projects while doing my PhD.

Research Interests

My primary research interest involves how to reason using argumentation. I am particularly interested in reasoning under uncertainty, as well as reasoning about normative concepts. Many of these concepts fall under the umbrella of behaviour regulation, and I'm thus also interested in trust and reputation mechanisms.

More peripheral research interests include game playing (particularly computer go), automated planning, and almost anything related to automated reasoning and machine learning (with a focus on unsupervised learning).
