Chapter 6 addresses the context for the development of agent systems through the required supporting technologies that can be used to provide much of the functionality that underlies systems of autonomous interacting agents. Technologies such as Jini, Web Services, etc., all offer valuable aspects that can be leveraged in developing agent systems.
