Dr. Iman Poernomo currently works as a Senior Lecturer with the
Department of Informatics, King's College London, and as Director of the
Predictable Assembly Laboratory (Palab), one of the main UK centres of research
excellence in Model Driven Engineering for Business Systems. To date, he has
attracted over 3 million pounds of funding from the UK government, the EU and
industry to fund his research and is the author of over 50 refereed papers and
three books in the fields of model management and model driven software
development.
Poernomo is recognized as a leading authority on the
specification, management and transformation of models. He began working in
this space with the DSTC,
an industrial R&D laboratory based in Australia, examining how to harness
UML specializations, MDA and QoS research to improve business computing.
He continues to work in this space at KingÕs College London,
teaching and conducting research in advanced metamodelling topics. He has
extensive experience as an industry consultant for Telecommunications,
Avionics, Health and Finance sectors, providing advice on technology governance
strategy and requirements-to-implementation data and systems modelling
problems.
Poernomo holds a Ph.D. in Computational Logic at Monash
University (supervised by John Crossley),
following a BSc. (Honours) in Pure Maths and a BA in Philosophy at the same
place.
